Ladders, platforms, and winding staircases offer a form of egress and ease in access to equipment. Hoffmann provides custom design, fabrication, and installation. These components can be fabricated from stainless steel, aluminum, or carbon steel with a galvanized or painted finish.

Hoffmann can provide aviation lighting and follows the FAA set guidelines for obstruction lighting (FAA Circular AC 707460-1K Obstruction Marking Lighting) on concrete chimneys and steel stacks.

Its design is based on the NFPA780 standard for Installation and the National Electrical Code.

Hoffmann chimney cap designs are based on the chemical makeup of the flue gas.

The flue gas flow rates determine the outlet size.

Since most chimneys and stacks operate 24 hours a day, it is necessary for periodic inspections. Access lighting aids in the ability to thoroughly inspect and monitor the chimney stack operation during insufficient daylight or at night. The National Electrical Code is followed for all installations.
