General Manager for Wolf Material Handling Systems

Ability to obtain in-depth knowledge of bulk material handling system concepts, practices, and procedures for a variety of industries. Ability to effectively communicate and build strong teams and develop long term strategies. Work independently with minimal direction and with a high-level discretion and creativity.   • Responsible for managing all aspects of Wolf’s engineering department including project coordination and staffing, sales support, employee development, performance management, budget planning, goal attainment, project execution, process improvement and policy deployment.
  • Responsible for achievement of all operations, business, and new product development project goals.
  • Provides operational, technical, and strategic leadership of cross-functional teams in operations, engineering, and R&D.
  • Participates in the development of a department strategy with a multi-year perspective.
  • Provide leadership for effective change management and solution implementation..


  • Generally, a desk job, standing/walking required 40% of the time.
  • Daily exposure to CAD stations and Blueprints.
  • Work hours TBD, Monday through Friday.
  • Weekly to biweekly travel to Wolf office in Minnesota for the first two years of employment.
  • After first two years, flexibility, and ability to travel up to 30% of the time.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as required.


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 5-10 years of experience preferred.
  • PE license preferred.


  • Preferred 5 – 10 years of experience in managing bulk material handling equipment projects.
  • Should have experience with auxiliary systems which support bulk handling systems.
  • Requires a strong machine design background.
  • Requires previous contract management experience.


  • Thorough knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, and electro/mechanical systems and their control.
  • Quick learner. Follows industry trends and evaluates their applicability to Wolf.
  • Ability to conceptualize, design, estimate and build unique pieces of equipment and complete material handling systems.
  • Ability to apply basic layout, engineering, machine design and detailing principles and the "know-how" to solve new and unique problems allowing us to pursue new opportunities.
  • "Servant Leadership" style that provides support to the staff in their efforts by setting goals and consistent expectations instead of dictating tasks and methods. Includes the ability to collaborate with others to solve problems and achieve results rather than dictate solutions or ideas.
  • Exceptional contract management and project management skills.
  • Exceptional scheduling and schedule maintenance skills.
  • Must be adaptable with a “can do” attitude focused on how goals are accomplished and how to overcome change and difficulties.

Construction Superintendent

Responsible for the start to finish completion of Hoffmann projects. Coordinate with on-site vendors and subcontractors. Communicate with client and Hoffmann office personnel.


  • Corresponds daily with Project Manager
  • Leadership skills / holds crew members accountable
  • Good communication skills with subcontractors and vendors
  • Plans weekly job schedule up to 2 weeks out / weekly toolbox meetings
  • Maintains a safe work environment / clean job site
  • Can assist in onsite training of new crew members if necessary
  • Capable of overseeing multiple crews on jobsite
  • Responsible for weekly time sheets


  • Good communication skills
  • Skilled at reading complex blueprints
  • Good math skills
  • Have high aptitude in mechanical skills / electrical hookups


  • Reports to Construction Manager


  • Lift and carry between 50 and 100 pounds of material
  • Climb up and down ladders / up to 200’
  • Work in outdoor environment / industrial conditions
  • Day to day construction positions of kneeling, bending, standing, and walking


  • Travel Required
  • Pre-employment drug test required.
