Crane Operator

POSITION SUMMARY:
Hoffmann Inc. Design Build Division is looking for a Crane Operator to lift and move material and equipment on construction projects.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Operates crane using a variety of hand and foot controls to move material and equipment as directed by the crane signaler.
- Performs maintenance and inspection duties on the crane and records them in a daily log.
- Inspects rigging equipment daily.
- Responsible for overseeing signalers and other workers to make sure they do not create a safety hazard when the crane is used.
- Responsible for overseeing rigging operations to ensure the correct rigging equipment is used and the material being moved is rigged properly.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Able to coordinate movements of hand and feet according to visual signals and directions
- Work easily and skillfully with hands
- Communicate well with others
- Read load charts
- Perform mathematical calculations and apply the information to coordinate the movement of a load
- Rate information using standards that can be measured or checked.
- Work with precise limits or standards of accuracy.
- Knowledge of material strengths and be able to detect structural defects.
- Estimate or otherwise calculate the weight of a given object.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS / WORKING CONDITIONS:
- Excellent vision naturally or with correction.
- Climb and maintain balance on ladders and high structures.
- Must be able to work at heights.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum 3 years crane experience on construction and industrial sites.
- Valid driver’s license.
- CDL license preferred, but not required.
- Crane operator certification
REQUIREMENTS:
- Travel Required
- Pre-employment drug test required.

Construction Workers

POSITION SUMMARY:
Hoffmann Inc. Silo and Chimney Division is looking for concrete silo construction workers.
This job requires willingness to travel and work at heights.
This job features competitive wages and benefit package.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Lift and carry between 50 and 100 pounds of material
- Climb up and down ladders / up to 200’
- Work in outdoor environment / industrial conditions
- Day to day construction positions of kneeling, bending, standing, and walking
