Assistant Project Manager

POSITION SUMMARY:

Reports to Senior Project Manager.

Assists the Project Manager to complete a project and to guarantee owner acceptance and satisfaction. Manage day to day operations, as well as any other responsibilities that the Project Manager requests.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Exceptional verbal and written skills in dealing with clients, vendors, and other personnel.
  • To write purchase orders and subcontracts before job starts and material is delivered to jobsite.
  • Review weekly timesheets.
  • Control and manage job costs.
  • Manage projects and the superintendents as assigned by the PM.
  • Encourage and support the field crew to ensure a quality job.
  • Keeping day to day activities organized.
  • Code and review invoices in a timely manner.
  • Manage equipment rentals on jobsites.
  • Make sure job is closed out completely.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Microsoft Windows, Word, and Excel.
  • Understand Hoffmann construction blueprints.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Customer service.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Climb and maintain balance on ladders and high structures.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Flexibility to travel, some overnights required.
  • Pre-employment drug test required.

Construction Superintendent

POSITION SUMMARY:

Responsible for the start to finish completion of Hoffmann projects. Coordinate with on-site vendors and subcontractors. Communicate with client and Hoffmann office personnel.

DUTIES AND RESPONSILBILITIES:

  • Corresponds daily with Project Manager
  • Leadership skills / holds crew members accountable
  • Good communication skills with subcontractors and vendors
  • Plans weekly job schedule up to 2 weeks out / weekly toolbox meetings
  • Maintains a safe work environment / clean job site
  • Can assist in onsite training of new crew members if necessary
  • Capable of overseeing multiple crews on jobsite
  • Responsible for weekly time sheets

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • Good communication skills
  • Skilled at reading complex blueprints
  • Good math skills
  • Have high aptitude in mechanical skills / electrical hookups

REPORTING RELATIONSHIP:

  • Reports to Construction Manager

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Lift and carry between 50 and 100 pounds of material
  • Climb up and down ladders / up to 200’
  • Work in outdoor environment / industrial conditions
  • Day to day construction positions of kneeling, bending, standing, and walking

  • Travel Required
  • Pre-employment drug test required.
