Often a steel stack design is driven by the requirements of the liner. Proper liner selection can be made only after the operating conditions have been investigated. The operating conditions consist of the flue gas composition, flow rate, and temperature. Selection of the proper liner material or combination of materials will ensure the proper service life of the liner.
